Pendimethalin 38.7% CS is a selective herbicide for use in Soybean, Cotton , Chilli and Onion crop which controls susceptible annual grasses and broad leaf weeds as they germinate. Pendimethalin 38.7% CS does not control perennial or well established weeds. * Caution Toxic to aquatic organisms hence should not be used near water bodies, aquaculture or pisciculture

Direction of Use

Pendimethalin 38.7% CS can be applied as pre-plant incorporation in Soybean and pre-emergence application in Cotton, transplanted Chilli and Onion . Incorporate Pendimethalin 38.7% CS in top 2-5 cm of soil with a suitable farm implement for application as Pre-plant incorporation. For weed control in cotton before sowing or within 3 days after sowing. In Chilli and Onion apply just before transplanting or within 3 days of transplanting as pre-emergence application. Before application, ensure that the field is prepared fine, firm and free of clods.

Preparation of Spray Solution : Mix throughly required quantity of Pendimethalin 38.7% CS in a bucket containing water with adequate stirring with or stick. Add the remaining quantity of water as specified through agitation.

Spraying instruction : 1) Do not spray against wind direction 2) Clean the sprayer thoroughly before and spraying.

Recommended Equipment : Spray Pendimethalin 38.7% CS using high volume sprayer like knapsack sprayer/foot sprayer fitted with flat fan nozzle.

Precaution
  • Avoid inhalation and skin contact while diluting because of spillage or spillage or splashes. Do not mix with bare hands.

  • Symptoms Of Poisoning

    Symptoms of poisoning may include headache, giddiness, nausea, vomiting sweating, excessive lactimation salivation.

    First Aid

    In case of skin contact remove contaminated clothes immediately. Wash the contaminated skin throughly with soap and water. If inhaled, keep patient clam, remove to fresh air. In case of eye contact wash affected eye for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open. In case of ingestion rinse mouth immediately and then drink plenty of water. Seek medical attention.

    There is no specific antidote. Treat the patient symptomatically.

    Disposal Of Used Container
    • Packages of surplus materials and washing from the machines and containers should be disposed off in safe manner so as to prevent environment and water pollution.
    • The used package shall not be left outside to prevent their re-use.
    • Packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation.
    Storage Conditions
    • The package containing the Herbicide shall be stored in separate rooms or premises away from the rooms or premises used for storing other articles particularly articles of food or shall be kept in separate almirahs under lock and key depending upon the quantity and nature of Herbicide.
    • The rooms or premises meant for storing the Herbicide shall be well built, airy, well lit and ventilated and of sufficient dimension to avoid contamination with vapour.
