Chlorpyrifos + Fipronil 3.5% w/w EC is a combination of non-systemic and systemic insecticide. It is recommended for foliar application for broad-spectrum control of insect pest of Cabbage & Rice. This combination works by contact, ingestion & respiratory action. CAUTION: 1. Although rice is not a source of nectar for honey bees, the product being toxic to bees should not be applied on vegetation during active for aging period of bees in and around crops. 2. The product is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms and thus the product containing the molecules may be avoided near aquaculture.

Direction Of Use

Take requisite quantity of the formulation and mix well with measured quantity of water. Add the remaining quantity of water as specified with thorough agitation. Do not spray against the wind.
PLANT PROTECTION EQUIPMENT:- High volume sprayer fitted with hollow cone nozzle is recommended.

Precautions
  • Avoid drinking, eating or smoking during handling. avoid any contact with skin and eyes.
  • While handling wear gloves, face-shield and protective equipments.
  • After handling wash the exposed parts with soap and plenty of water.
  • Keep away from fire and fire causing agents.
Symptoms Of Poisoning

Irritability, skin irritation, headache, nausea, dizziness, muscle twitching, muscle tremors, weakness, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, anxiety, restlessness, lethargy and convulsions.

First Aid

In case of ingestion, carry out gastric lavage with care to prevent asphyxiation. In case of contact with skin, remove the contaminated clothing immediately and wash the contaminated surface with soap and plenty of water. In case of inhalation bring the patient immediately to fresh air. In case of eye splashes, flush eyes with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical help immediately.

Phytotoxicity

Antidote
  • Atropinize the patient immediately and maintain full atropinization by repeated dosage of 2 to 5 mg at 5 to 10 minutes interval for hours together. The extent of salivation is a useful criterion to follow in adjusting the dosage of atropine.
  • Dissolve 1-2 mg of 2-PAM in 10 cc distilled water and inject intravenously, very slowly for 10-15 minutes.
  • Give symptomatic treatment.
Disposal Of Used Container

The empty containers or surplus material and washings should be disposed off in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental or water pollution. The used packages should not be left outside to prevent their reuse.

Storage Conditions
  • Storage and transportation of the insecticide should be done in such a way that no foodstuff and animal feed are contaminated.
  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, well-built room of sufficient dimensions and in its original containers, away from foodstuff and animal feeds.
  • If leakage or spillage occurs during transportation or storage, necessary measure should be taken to prevent poisoning and pollution of soil and water. Keep out of reach of children.
