Tolfenpyrad 15%EC is a broad spectrum contact insecticide effective as a foliar spray for the control of insect pests of cabbage, okra, cotton, cumin, chilli, mango and onion.

Direction Of Use

Do not spray when honey bees are active (toxic to honeybees). Do not use where pisci culture is practiced (Toxic to Fish).

Precautions

Read and follow all instructions on the label and leaflet very carefully. Save the container with label to show to the physician in case of accidental poisoning.

  • Keep away from foodstuffs, empty foodstuff containers and animals feed.
  • Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin.
  • Wash thoroughly the contaminated clothes and parts of the body after using.
  • Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while using.
  • Do not inhale the content. Wear rubber gloves, goggles, facemask and protective clothing while handling. Avoid remaining in drift of spray by applying the insecticide with the wind.
  • Call a physician immediately if any symptom of poisoning appears in a person who is using or has recently used the insecticide.
  • Spray in the morning or evening hours when the wind speed is minimum. Spray in the direction of wind to prevent spray drift.
Symptoms Of Poisoning
  • Mild irritation
  • Toxic if swallowed
  • Harmful if inhaled
  • May cause dullness, respiratory distress and diarrhoea, hypoactivity and staggered gait.
First Aid
  • If swallowed, rinse mouth with water and give plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting Immediately obtain medical attention.
  • If clothing and skin are contaminated, remove the clothes and wash the contaminated skin with copious amount of soap and water.
  • If eyes are contaminated, flush with plenty of saline/clean water for about 10 to 15 minutes. Call a physician
  • If inhaled, remove the patient to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen and call a physician.
Phytotoxicity

The product is not phytotoxic when used as per field recommendation.

Disposal Of Used Container
  • It shall be the duty of the manufacturers, formulators and operators to dispose packages or surplus materials and washings in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental and water pollution.
  • The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their reuse.
  • The packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation.
Storage Conditions
  • The packages containing the insecticide shall be stored in separate rooms and premises, away from the rooms and premises used for storing other articles particularly food, or shall be kept in separate almirah under lock and key depending upon the quantity and nature of the insecticide.
  • The rooms and premises meant for storing the insecticide shall be well built, dry, well lit, ventilated and of sufficient dimensions.
