Fluopyram 34.48 % w/w SC is a nematicide recommended for use as soil drench for the control of root knot namatodes (Meloidogyne incognita) in Tomato. It contains 344.8 g of Fluopyram active ingredient per kg of formulation which is equivalent to 400g of Fluopyram active ingredient per liter of formulation.

Direction of Use

Fluopyram 34.48% w/w SC is a nematicide recommended for use as soil drench for the control of root knot nematodes in Tomato. Use only as directed.

Time of Application

Apply nematicide as soil drench with knapsack sprayer. Give 2 applications as soil drenching with 1st application @ 250 g.a.i./ha at 3 days after transplanting followed by 2nd application @ 250 g.a.i./ha at three weeks after 1st application OR give single application as soil drenching # 500 g.a.i./ha at 3 days after transplanting

Precautions

Keep away from food, drink & animal feeding stuff. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed person and animals. Do not inhale fumes or spray mist. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Remove soiled clothing immediately and wash before reuse. Wash hand and entire body thoroughly with soap and water after the use. Wear personal protective equipment while handing the product.

Symptoms Of Poisoning

May cause headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, difficult breathing, decreased motility.

First Aid
  • General advice: Move out of dangerous area. Place and transport victim in stable position (lying sideways) Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose of safely.
  • Inhalation: In case of inhalation move to the fresh air and keep patient warm and rest. Call a physician immediately.
  • Skin Contact: In case of skin contact, remove cloths, wash off skin thoroughly with plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
  • Eye contact: In case of contact with eye, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medically attention if irritation develops and persists.
  • Ingestion: When swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth. Call a physician immediately.
Phytotoxicity

Antidote

Treat symptomatically & supportively. Gastric lavage is not normally required. However, if a significant amount ( more than a mouthful) has been ingested, administer activated charcoal and sodium sulphate. There is no specific antidote.

Disposal Of Used Container
  • The empty container shall be broken and buried away from the habitation or incinerated.
  • The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their re-use.
  • Packages or surplus material and washings should be disposed off in safe manner so as to prevent environment and water pollution.
Storage Conditions
  • The packages containing nematicide shall be stored in separate room or premises, away from the rooms or premises used for storing other articles or shall be kept in separate rooms/ almirahs under lock and key depending upon the nature and quantity of the nematicide.
  • The rooms or premises meant for storing the nematicide shall be well built, well lit, dry, cool, well-ventilated and of sufficient dimensions to avoid contamination with vapour /air.
